Toronto in winter is something else
The PATH system downtown saved me during the cold snap - you can walk for ages underground without freezing. CN Tower views were clear and the food scene on King Street West kept us busy every night. Really well-organized city.
Kensington Market alone is worth the trip
Such a cool neighborhood - vintage shops, street food from everywhere, zero pretentiousness. Toronto has this energy that's hard to explain but easy to enjoy. Public transit was straightforward and locals were genuinely helpful when we got turned around.
Great city for food lovers
St. Lawrence Market is an absolute must. The peameal bacon sandwich there is legendary and totally lives up to the hype. Ate our way through Chinatown too. Toronto does multicultural food better than most cities I've visited. Nothing felt fake or touristy.
Loved every bit of it
Distillery District was hands down one of the coolest spots I've been to in a long time. The old brick buildings, the independent shops, the coffee - all great. Toronto is a proper big city but never felt overwhelming. Easy to get around and always something to see.
A city that just works
Everything runs smoothly here - transit, restaurants, even the airport was painless. Spent a lot of time around the Harbourfront and it was beautiful even in the cold. People are genuinely friendly, not just polite-for-tourists friendly. Solid city trip all round.
Better winter market than I expected
The Toronto Christmas Market at the Distillery District was packed but in a fun way. Beaver tails, mulled wine, lights everywhere - it delivered. The whole district looks amazing dressed up for the holidays. Came for a quick weekend and wished we'd booked longer.
